Review on KEO Dual Material Cleat by Jay Meza

Great cleats for road bikes for riding, not walking

I've been riding Look pedals for thirty years. I can't say if this is the best clipless pedal system, but it suits me. I use red boots with the most buoyancy. Keo spikes work well and are fairly durable. I ride about 5,000 miles a year and typically only switch sides once per season to commit to. The other sidebar lasts at least twice as long. I always use Look Keo spike covers when I'm not on the bike and put them on straight away. If you want to wear these boots right away, use them for walking, not riding. Many one-star reviews complain that these boots are slippery, difficult to walk on, or wear out quickly as you walk. Yes, yes and yes. These are road bike cleats designed to provide a wide and stable platform with good power transfer and reliable engagement and disengagement while riding. These spikes are great for all of that. If you want easy cycling, buy mountain bike pedals and cleats.
