I bought this router along with several other models and it gave me the best range/speed. I didn't like the fact that you can only sign in individually if you had the TP Link app open on your phone and the web browser was also open on the computer, so you're signed out of both. first logged in. In addition, the application and the web browser do not have the same functions. Which isn't too rare, but the app has features that I would have liked to see in a browser. Everything worked fine for the first week or two, but now the router keeps losing internet connection. It's still broadcasting its SSID, but my phone and laptop say it's not connected to the internet, and my TV stops playing and buffers for a few more minutes before coming back online. I tried resetting it by factory resetting all settings (some forums said the problem was to enable MU-MIMO so I disabled it again but to no avail). Then I realized that this happens a lot more often. I thought that because my mom never bothered to tell me about all the issues she faced working from home and she had to turn on her mobile hotspot to keep working. I know this isn't an AT&T supplied modem/router because I actually have wireless routers in my house and when this TP-Link device lost connection, I connected to one of my other networks and it still worked perfectly. So now this device is coming back and I decided to try the powerline adapter and just plug one of my other wireless routers upstairs to try and get a faster connection. I was able to shut down the device at around 300 Mbit/s and 270 Mbit/s on a good day. Standing next to the router, I could get 468 Mbps inbound traffic and 399 Mbps inbound traffic. What doesn't make sense is that every time I've used their app to check the incoming connection speed (see screenshots), the transfer rate NEVER went over 600Mbps and rarely went over 200Mbps. So how I could get a higher speed through the router than what was supposedly going into the router is beyond me. There were also days when the up and down speed couldn't even exceed 40Mbps.
