The strands that make up this broom are so thin it looks like it would be a shame to sweep it up and get it dirty! Maybe it will end up being a decor that will be leaned against the fireplace. I just imagined the bamboo handle as a bamboo pole, but it actually has an intricate pattern and is quite beautiful. However, if we decide to use it, I think it would be a really great job. I got it because I liked the idea of supporting a craft industry in a far away country. It's great to see something so well made. This is a follow-up to my original review, maintaining and improving the five stars. For Christmas I showed this broom to my grandson who was in Korea near the North Korean border. He and his team lived in fairly modest circumstances. He was happy to see the broom and asked if he could take it. He told us that these brooms are popular in Korea and they use them in their neighborhood. "You are absolutely the best," he told us. He said they work great on hardwood floors and low-pile carpets, especially in corners where vacuums don't work well. He said they also make a great porch or balcony broom. He didn't think he would ever see him again. So my advice is if you want a really good broom, take my grandson's advice and get one of these!
