Fine with thermometers and timers

I have several other instant read food thermometers, both digital and analogue, and one with a cord for oven time and temp warning. However, I wanted something small that was also magnetized. So far everything is fine with this device, but that is not certain. I've tested it on my other thermometers and it's usually at least 2-3 degrees Fahrenheit higher than other devices. I like the auto on/off feature. Update: When I use the temperature backlight, the temperature reading increases by one degree.
