I've wanted one for a long time and this Christmas season I finally said 'F*it' and ordered one. You can tell it was an impulse buy just because I wanted it but never bought it - I don't know why. Anyway, bought and received just in time for Christmas dinner, for which I usually cut up the rib roast. Much easier than my usual chef's knife I've used, I have to say. Oh, before I forget, I don't think I've ever used a slicer before. With that in mind, I find the slicer makes it easier/better to "slice" the roast. The only "a" about it is that the handle looks like cheap plastic. But now that I have the "right" tool to get the job done, I'm hoping to get my money's worth.
