I wanted a large monitor for a small desk (which means I'll be sitting relatively close to the monitor (at 2.5") and that's perfect. The size is spot on and 1440p is perfect for that size. I know that people love 4k but at this monitor size 1440p delivers perfect clarity and is great for text. 4K is more visible on 27" and larger screens. This monitor has thin bezels (the slightly thicker chin with the Dell logo doesn't bother me ) and if you can get it for a good price (I paid $245), it's a steal. I've also tried the U2415 in 16:10 aspect ratio, but its resolution is 1080p, and you can definitely keep the pixels very happy see I finally settled on this one For laptops I would say that an aspect ratio of 16:10 is a real benefit, but for a large monitor at 1440p or higher stick with 16:9.
