Review on Dell P2418D 23.8 Inch 2560x1440p Monitor with Tilt, 🖥️ Pivot, and Height Adjustments - Find the Perfect Viewing Angle! by Jimmy Winters

We didn't think using a 2.7K (2569 x 1440) 24-inch or smaller monitor would make much of a difference compared to a regular HD display, but we had a unique opportunity to see the difference. close as we have two desktops each running at both resolutions. We recently bought two of these Dell P2418D, 2.7K monitors. We already had two Dell P2419Hs on each computer and a couple of old HP monitors. Dell P2419H monitors have a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or Full HD. They look really good, but when you put this P2418D next to it, it becomes clear that the additional resolution of a 2.7K monitor makes a big difference. We use these monitors for video editing in Davinci Resolve and photos in Photoshop and Lightroom. For images and videos, the extra resolution means we can display a little more information on the screen. In this way (expressing more information on the screen) we get all the menus and other information that programs like Photoshop usually have, but with more space than we expected to display the image. You wouldn't think it would make such a big difference, but it does. For text display, we set the text size to 125%, mainly to better match the size and appearance of lower resolution monitors, so the screens look almost the same when you switch from one screen to the next. At the same time, Photoshop, Lightroom and Davinci Resolve graphics remain unchanged at a correspondingly higher resolution. We can't say anything about the actual color accuracy of these monitors as we don't have the equipment to test them, but if we look at the image or video on all four (two 2.7k P2418D and two P2419H) they look like this from how we think they are and more importantly, they look the same. These are IPS monitors that are supposed to be better than older or cheaper monitors and they appear to be better than our old monitors. They must be pre-calibrated, at least that's what Dell claims, and as mentioned above, they at least look the same from one to the other. Would we buy this monitor again? Surely. We only bought two 1920 x 1080 monitors four months ago, but if we knew how big the difference is we would have bought the P2418D first.
