Review on πŸ“± Hohem Smartphone Gimbal Stabilizer 2021 Upgrade – Lightweight Foldable Handheld Stabilizer, 3-Axis Smartphone Gimbal by Chris Murphy

I Steady X2 is the best and lightest stabilizer on the market

This is what I was looking for before my trip to the Rocky Mountains! After hours of research and going back and forth between the best gimbals on the market, this and DJI, I settled on the Hohem iSteady x2. This is a cellphone gimbal compatible with almost all phones and offers much smoother shooting than handheld shooting. This can also be controlled with the supplied remote control. The app has many features that make recording videos so smooth that it looks like a professional video. Of the many features it offers, you can switch between pan and tilt modes, pan modes, all locks, and POV modes, essentially controlling the flow of your gimbal. The battery is about 2800 mAh and can stay on for up to 9 hours. I can confirm that I played with it for over 4 hours straight on a full charge and the battery gauge only went down one notch indicating there was half the juice left. You can also use it as an alternative power source to charge your phone in an emergency. I love that the app can track faces and objects, and I have to say it's pretty accurate. While I would love to use this feature in other apps like FaceTime or record my Live Stories on Instagram, unfortunately it doesn't work outside of the app. You can still use your own camera app and take advantage of all the options that this gimbal offers, e.g. B. Zoom in and out, take photos and videos with buttons, and more. Note that upon receipt, first scan the QR code and install the app. It doesn't work without an app! Please be sure to read this before packing it to photograph. Overall, this is one of the best options, and for the price, it's a must-have.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • A few little things
