Review on Terro T800 Garbage Guard Black by Rebecca Jones

I bought this product in August it is now November and I believe this product will last 4 months and let me tell you how it's been the last few months: the day after i glued the capsule to the lid, i noticed a few dead flies at the bottom of the bin, but many more live ones. I gave it a few days but the flies and maggots still lived in my trash can. After a few weeks I came to the conclusion that this product works so-so, it killed a few flies but not enough to solve my fly problem. Eventually the larvae even started crawling around and in the pod as if nothing had happened! I left it alone when the weather got cooler (I live in South Carolina, so by cool I mean below 80C) and I saw fewer flies, but I think the change in weather had more to do with that than with this product. As the weather fluctuated between several cool and warm days, the number of flies also fluctuated. Two days ago after taking out the trash they left the lid open and I noticed that my trash can was FULL of flies and larvae, there were so many of them I couldn't even get near the trash can. In the end I decided enough was enough, grabbed my garden hose and started flushing the trash can to wash away all the dirt and maggots. As I was cleaning the lid the capsule fell off and fell into my driveway, I thought 'oh ok it's trash anyway' and kept spraying the trash can until I felt it was clean and moved on. Now for the horrible part, I don't know what caused the pod to get wet, but after a few hours I noticed the flies were gathering around the pod and seemed to be dying? The next morning more flies have gathered around him, so many you can't get close and it's really gross! So many flies and they all come to my driveway 😭😭 I am attaching a video of what I see when I look at my driveway. This product definitely didn't work properly and now I feel like the lord of the flies with all these flies gathering and dying in my driveway and I don't know how many more are to come but I don't want to get near it and take the pod.
