Doesn't take up much space
I used this behind my bedroom dresser instead of drilling holes in the wall to place the wall. I wanted the stand to be taller so I could elevate the TV about a foot higher than the dresser, not just 6 inches higher. With a 40" TV, I could not mount the TV in the highest mounting position as the rear support brackets would be visible from the front.
