I have Rock Shock brand shocks on my 2013 Kona 26" MTB. I read the negative reviews here, but I still chose a well-known brand pump. It has a screw connection, so you'll lose a few pounds if you unscrew it to disconnect. Instead, it is better to use a lever valve. So plan on losing about 5 psi when you turn it off. You may also need to allow for about 5psi in the rubber portion of the connector. I experimented with pumping, disconnecting, reconnecting and after a few tries I got the intended psi. Note that pumping from 0 psi will require multiple pumps to reach your range. This works for my limited use as I only need to get them to 65-70psi for my body weight and my shocks performance. The pump is now part of my MTB gear in my car.
