Review on Inkbird Display Temperature Controller ITC 106VH by Calvin Booker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It's probably good if you go with a real thermocouple.

Used on toaster ovens for powder paint repair. The two biggest problems were Chinglish instructions and lousy thermocouples. Having no experience with PID setup, the starting instructions in the brochure were a stumbling block, luckily I'm fluent on You Tube. The other, as mentioned earlier, is a thermocouple. When properly adjusted in ice water, a 400 degree Fahrenheit setting has an error of hundreds of degrees. I actually bought two of these kits and also tried the thermocouple from the second kit and while it's much better it's still about 100 degrees different. The unit seems to hold a decent temperature once I figure out how much I need to balance the temperature to get the desired temperature, so I think a decent thermocouple will solve my problem.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Very expensive
