Displays temperature and humidity very accurately

Features a convection oven that keeps the temperature within 50 degrees Fahrenheit of the set position. That's 100 degrees. widespread and was unacceptable for our use. I bought this Ink Bird and upgraded the oven to this controller and a new temp sensor. The oven will now heat up immediately and after about 3 minutes of cycling up and down 10 degrees Fahrenheit from the set temperature, it will settle down to about 1 degree Fahrenheit from the set temperature. Turned a $1500 boat anchor into…

It's probably good if you go with a real thermocouple.

Used on toaster ovens for powder paint repair. The two biggest problems were Chinglish instructions and lousy thermocouples. Having no experience with PID setup, the starting instructions in the brochure were a stumbling block, luckily I'm fluent on You Tube. The other, as mentioned earlier, is a thermocouple. When properly adjusted in ice water, a 400 degree Fahrenheit setting has an error of hundreds of degrees. I actually bought two of these kits and also tried the thermocouple from the…

Can't beat the price

Materials were well packaged and undamaged. I cut and fitted it and stuffed it into the case and wired everything up as the blueprints asked for and it didn't work. went back and traced all the wiring and the mounting hardware looked correct. Taken everything out of the case, put it on a flat board and rewired it still doesn't work, removed the ammeter I added to the circuit, no change. I decided to replace the short nosed thermocouple that came with the kit with the long nosed thermocouple I…

Good enough for regular DIY heating needs!

I think this is a good enough PID control system for most of your powder coating and heating needs. I wish they would come out with a more advanced PID system in the future that could control the power of the heating elements instead of just turning on when the set temperature isn't reached and turning off once the temperature is reached (if that were possible) . ) . cause the relay to wear out, although the relay is expected to last many years under normal use). Schematics and instructions…

Temperature sensor too slow for smoker

Bought to control my range master smoker. For those looking to use it to monitor smoker air temperature, the included sensor has too much thermal mass to respond properly. With the Auto Adjust feature, the best I could get was +/- 20 degrees Fahrenheit around the 230 degree Fahrenheit set point. I used an independent fast temperature sensor to measure the smoker's temperature in parallel with the InkBird PV and found that the (temperature sensor) lagged by at least 10 degrees Fahrenheit, making

Pros
  • Temperature controller
Cons
  • boring packaging

I use it to turn a toaster oven into a soldering oven. I opened the oven and plugged in a solid state relay instead of a mechanical thermostat. The temperature sensor that came with this unit is questionable - the readings were everywhere. Instead I use another K-type thermocouple sensor and it works great. InkBird's PID temperature controller does what it's supposed to - it controls the temperature of my oven well. Autotune mode works fine. I set it to 150 degrees Celsius in autotune mode and…
