Not OEM quality. I bought this because the suction cup on my OEM tom tom broke after years of good service. Otherwise, my original was perfect. I don't have any problems like others with the suction cup on this device. Mine works great. Before installation, however, I thoroughly rinsed the glass with alcohol and dried it. The problem I found is that it matches the original GPS. The circular clip installed between the GPS and this device depends on the interface where one circle or ring snaps into another. The outer rim of the replacement is a few thousandths of an inch thicker than the tom tom to go all the way in, so it slips out of the mount from time to time. If you manage to push it in there, it will be so tight that it can't move to accommodate. I also found, as another reviewer pointed out, that the ball joint allows for uncontrolled rotation. However, this can be fixed by tightening the two screws. To fix the problem I found I took the mounting ring and sanded it down with 200 grit sandpaper and it's fine now, but you don't have to go through all that to replace something like this. That should work out of the box. Finally, please note that parts of this item are NOT interchangeable with the original. You can't take part of it and just replace the bad with the original because it's a metric and the original is SAE. So the screws don't match, you can't just take the mounting ring and swap it out for a new suction cup like I've tried. Everything is offset by a few thousandths of an inch. I will not buy this product again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
