UPDATE a few months later: upgraded from 5 stars to 5+. Since I love the product, let me start with the cons (which are all on me, not the product): The one-sheet instructions, written by someone whose native language isn't English, were beyond useless. YouTube Help. Also, this isn't an entry-level install, and you don't need a master's degree in electrical engineering: it's somewhere in between. Jeep without scratches. With the right tools, this is estimated at 2-4 hours of work, so of course I blocked my entire Saturday (I've never done a job like this). There is stripping of wires; YouTube videos will tell you that duct tape is enough to hold the connection. YouTube videos lie. The Wrangler forums will tell you to solder the connections, which I ignored until my ultimately successful full-time job got fired as soon as my wife rode the tracks. The good news is that what took a full two hours to remove the fairing and accessories on Saturday took just 30 minutes on Sunday (I was a pro, 24 hours later) and the solder joints worked great for months. The reader will find that none of these criticisms have anything to do with whether or not this is a good camera. I like the picture quality and the fisheye look. My custom lift kit, which required a custom swing gate, came with a lot of extra cable slack. My custom rims made it so I couldn't position the camera exactly centered as I wanted, but the mount made it easy to rotate slightly off-center and snap in nicely when I was shooting at the perfect angle. The extra tools I had to buy (including the JScan license to unlock my factory radio) were made up for at a great price. So I spent just over $200 total (plus a day and a half of humiliating training). You could pay the dealer $500 not to fool around, but I don't think the picture quality would be as good (let alone the experience, which is half the value of owning a Jeep). Great product, no regrets. ------------------ Great product and all other reviews were very helpful. The one page guide was lacking in detail for me, but there are many fantastic installation videos on YouTube. There was a lot of slack in the cables, which was useful for my swing gates. Looks almost invisible on my jeep and the picture quality is excellent. Night vision is a bit grainy, but no worse than most other dashcams I've seen.
