We recently replaced our old TV with a brand new setup. New TV, Sonos Beam, Sanus TV mount and then this Sonos mount. My wife and I decided to do the installation ourselves, and everything "mostly" went fine. One thing to remember (which we didn't realize until we started the installation process) is that this mount installs UNDER the mount that attaches to your TV. So if you're planning on adding this to a TV that's already installed, be aware that you'll have to disassemble everything, remove the mounting plate, install this bracket, and then put everything back together. Luckily we figured this out after we had the mounting bracket in place but before we hung the TV on the wall mount so it wasn't hard to step back a bit. As I mentioned earlier, we installed it with a Sanus TV. assemble, and it all came together pretty well. I'm concerned that using it with another brand of mount might add complexity as it requires mounting from below. I can imagine that depending on the mounting plate, there may be some fit issues. In the end it works well and looks good. It feels durable, fits the Beam perfectly, and allows for neat cable management. We may have messed something up, but the mechanism that allows the Sonos to slide up and down is pretty tight. the sliding thing is not very easy. But once we get it where we want it, we probably won't move it in the future, so it's not a big deal.
