Review on Yealink CP700 BT50 Ultra Compact Speakerphone Connectivity by George Ahmed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality and affordable speakerphone!

I purchased this speakerphone for my home office as I wanted to work exclusively from home during the COVID-19 outbreak. It doesn't disappoint! Setup: I use Bluetooth hands-free only. Connected via the included USB adapter on my PC and via regular Bluetooth on my Android phone. Pros: 1. Excellent sound quality - During a conference call (both in Teams and WebEx) the sound quality is excellent. Great bass and depth of sound, voices don't sound tinny at all. The volume is also more than sufficient.2. Connectivity - Bluetooth just works and device switching works seamlessly. When my computer wakes up from sleep (home office, so I'm using it with a desktop computer), it reconnects without any action on my part.3. Premium Appearance - The speakerphone uses a combination of high quality metal and plastic to give it a comfortable weight. The backlit buttons are under a plastic cover, so they should look good for the life of the device. The Teams button opens my Teams client when clicked. Disadvantages1. The stand on the back does not have a fixed hinge. It's either fully deployed or hidden. So I placed the stand on something else on my desk to get the optimal angle for speaker 2. The Yealink Connect app for Windows is so-so. I was able to update the hands-free firmware to the latest version using the app (when connected via USB), but I couldn't update the bluetooth dongle firmware. This hasn't caused any problems yet, but it's still on my list of things to work on. So this part is not without flaws. Overall it's a great value, great sound and connectivity and I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others.
