Review on Scotchgard Clear Paint Protection 84 Inches Car Care by Chris Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

a really good investment for anyone who wants to be patient and careful

These slides are awesome. I only did the front part of the hood and part of the front bumper in one roll. This is the second car I've done this to and the headlights on my 2010 car still look new. (Now he is 7 years old). To do this, it is best to lubricate the machine with mild dishwashing detergent and warm water. (very mild on soap). Put a sheet down and lubricate it often. With the film lying loosely on the machine, dampen it and trim off the excess about 1/4 inch on all sides (so you can fold it over the surface to be protected). Remove water and air bubbles starting at point 1 and moving from there. (Choose a central location like your car logo or similar). Once you've gotten as many bubbles as possible, let the machine dry so you can fold the excess material around the surface you're working on. Dry it so you can bend it and let the glue stick along the radius of the edge of your bumper (make sure the side you bend is clean). Don't worry about the remaining microbubbles. They'll be gone in a few weeks. What is left can be pinned with a very small pin to remove any remaining air or water.
