Review on Vibram V-Run Men's Running Shoe by Joshua Days

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The Vibrams EU website has a CORRECT SIZE CHART!

If you use the sizing chart here or on the US Vibrams website, your shoes run larger than they should be. (That's why everyone in the comments says to reduce the size.) I've included a screenshot of the correct chart in this review, but I don't know if Revain will publish it. Use the size chart on the Vibrams Europe website to find the correct size. Now let's move on to the shoes themselves! I started running in minimalist shoes in 2010 while I was still in the military. Vibrams were banned from uniforms, so I started with the Nike Free 3.0 (now I can hear the moans of the most minimalistic clean ones, but as a transitional shoe they've served me well). Next up was the Merrell Trail Glove, which worked well for me in Afghanistan and up until my 2012 release. I then jumped on the Vibram bandwagon and started out with the Bikila LS over the next few years, followed by the KSO EVO and then Skinners running socks and FYF socks in what seemed like a 'race to the bottom'. . After wincing in pain every time I stepped on the smallest pebble on my only FYF run, I realized I had overdone my minimalist drive a little. (Honestly, if you're thinking about FYF, you'd better go barefoot.) Since I mostly run on paved surfaces, I decided to give the V-Run a try as it was specifically designed for that purpose. And I'm glad I did! This shoe was exactly what I was looking for! These are without a doubt my favorite sneakers! Vibram definitely took Bikila's lessons and improved it for the better! I ran 7 1/2 miles yesterday morning and my legs, knees and feet feel great! In fact, they felt stronger than ever! These shoes are amazing! They look so great that I'm now checking out the Vibram casual collection because I don't want to wear regular shoes. 5 stars from me!
