Review on πŸ₯Ά Stone Coat Countertops: Enhance Durability with Epoxy Undercoat by Stephen Cernatescu

Make or Fail: Adhesives, Sealants, and Lubricants

I bought this two months ago, read most of the reviews and was a little hesitant, but being new to epoxy I wanted to follow the primer recommendations. I haven't opened or used it for 2 months as I had to wait for the right conditions as well as outside temperatures in my area as I make sample panels in my garage first. When I opened it it was dry as rubber. It had a good seal before opening so my question is was it very old? Or a bad batch? I missed the 30 day window as that's all Revain allows so I don't have the money for it. I also ordered it in white 30 days later (plus the window just expired) but luckily the white is perfect. From now on I buy fresh primer directly from Sherman Williams or good paints from the big shop.

Pros
  • COATING FOR EPOXY PROJECTS - Apply 2 coats of epoxy primer to the surface before pouring epoxy! Undercoat seals and bonds a solid base to your surface, giving it a thicker, denser look and helping it last longer!
Cons
  • old
