My old filter housing was also cracked and I almost wanted to install it since my 1997 F-350 was new. WOW, what a difference this set makes. I live in the mountains at 8500 feet. The smoke from my tailpipe is almost gone when I pull it, I can actually see the turbine windings here and I feel like the engine is running much better. I should have bought it in 1997. The seller was very fast, the instructions were perfect. Installation took about an hour.
