Review on Spectre Performance 9981 Air Intake by David Norwood

I thought I'd buy this CAI as it's cheaper than the competition (Cold Air Inductions, K&N etc.). There was an error. The hose was not long enough to get a proper seal. I spun it and it got lost causing it to idle very strangely and the engine light came on. I cut it off and when I turned it back the whole car shook and died out. We tightened the clamp just enough to take it home, but even then it was easy to take apart by hand. Needless to say I am sending it back and getting the best CAI brand name. You get what you pay for! PS as long as it was properly on (about 10 minutes) it sounded and worked fine, but I don't think it will stay on. The tube should be plastic and about 2.5 inches longer.
