Overall, the device is a great replacement for the old one Model. I can say that the designs have been improved, in particular the removal of springs with gaskets and rings that are pressed against the plate to mix cold / hot inside in front of the handle itself. The only thing that worries me is that I had to use an old star or cross shaped screw plate because the new devices didn't have them. The hardest part of the installation was making sure the new bolts didn't interfere with the threads of the old, corroded bolt plate. A little WD40 and a steady, smooth start helped, by simply finger tightening at first. The packaging appeared to be factory sealed so this must be an inaccurate picture. So I had to soak them in CLR and polish them as best as I could and also deal with old threads. I'm glad my leak has stopped but not 100% thrilled this part is my reworked part. However, don't think this will be a catastrophic failure any time soon.
