I let the trainees borrow it. They're cheap enough to be consumable (meters, no trainees). Interns buy better gauges when they get a company card. It can be difficult to close the case if you do not fold and insert the test leads correctly. The EMF/NCV function works well but can be too sensitive in some situations. Capacitance accuracy is enough to tell if a capacitor is well under range or dead. You get a beep and light for continuity, but no light or beep for high voltage sensors unless they are above 600VAC (WTF?). If you read the manual, you'll see some pretty weird accuracy settings and supposed adjustments. In principle, this is enough for testing GO/NO-GO, but other than that I don't trust it. The IP protection class is very low; Not even remotely protected from the elements or splashes. I believe the meter is less than $20. This is slightly better than the average in the price range.
