Review on Improved NovAqua Water Conditioner, 8-Ounce - KORDON #31148 by Mary Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product for protecting healthy fish and all purpose aquarium conditioner

This is a very good aquarium conditioner that I would wholeheartedly recommend. I love that it's more than just a dechlorination. NovAqua describes its product as a "bandage in a bottle" for freshwater and marine fish, pond fish and invertebrates. It contains the additives I recommend everyone to help the fish build and maintain their essential mucosa and contains electrolytes to maintain the proper osmotic balance for gill function. It also removes toxic metals like copper, stabilizes pH and balances alkalinity. The conditioner will not remove chloramines, but neither will most conditioners that contain chlorine (with the exception of Tetra Aqua's AquaSafe, which can do both). Cordon makes NovAqua and they have a similar product called Amquel that is specific to chloramines. These two products can be used together if your city water supply contains chloramine (you will need to call them to check - you will not be able to find out at home). than just drops), but I love that this product comes with an electrolyte booster. The 8 fl oz bottle is good value for the size and comes with a handy cap. Since you only need one drop per gallon, this will last a long time. You can use it whenever you add or change water, add new fish or toys, or when your fish is suffering from stressful conditions. Good product!

Pros
  • Removes copper and other heavy metals
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
