I read many reviews before I bought anything. The reviews for these wraps were consistently good, so I went ahead and ordered. I needed something fairly solid, not a gel pack, which is great but doesn't stay cold for long. These wraps contain ice cubes and stay cold for a very long time. They work well on the front and back legs. They are long enough to cover the leg from the knee to the collar (at least my thoroughbred is 15.2 hours). Velcro straps are stretchy and long so they can be tightened if needed. Some useful tips: 1. Straps can get in the way when putting on an orthosis. I turn each strap on itself (with a loop) so they don't get in the way. 2 - you are cold. Like, it's really cold. I use an old tube sock with the tip cut off to tuck between the horse's legs and the ice. You could probably do a layer of polo capes as well. 3 - My horse can dance a little while I put it on. I learned how to tie the second one from the bottom first to secure it before doing the rest. Even if you tighten the strap, you still have room to move thanks to the shape of the ice pockets. I definitely recommend them. They seem very durable and I really like how long they stay cold.
