Life Saver - Funds for 5 Months 5.3 # Kitten

Our cat was neutered and started licking and chewing on her incision two days after the operation. Knowing that she would refuse a cat collar at home, I realized that a cone was out of the question for her. I ordered this rescue suit to make sure we have something on hand and I am very glad I did because she chewed her incision the night before and the morning after she returned home we ended up back at the vet. Initially after the surgery the vet said most cats don't lick their wounds and that she would probably be fine without protective gear and I really regret taking that advice. Too bad we didn't put on a survival suit right after the operation. I was very happy that we had this on hand and after the vet checked the wound and checked for fever and infection we were able to put it on and leave straight away. The vet said she has used a cone or medical t-shirt in all of her practice, but has never seen this in cats and felt it was better than anything she had seen a cat do was carried home to recover from surgery. Our 5 month old kitten is slim and long; 5.3 pounds and just under 13 inches long from neck to base of tail. Size medium fits perfectly. The small size was too tight; We couldn't close it behind her back. The skinny cat surprised me. The medium size fits well and gives her the perfect spot on her bum for using the litter box. I recommend buying several at a time so you can wash and provide your cat with fresh clothes as they may get dirty or wet unexpectedly. My cat doesn't mind wearing this at all. Very grateful.
