I first installed this on my dining room table who did it on a strip of hard floor surrounded by carpet. I tried using the sweep and mop feature and it only wiped a tiny area around the base station. I understand that the company doesn't want the mop to drag across the carpet, but that's a serious problem...it can't reach areas when mopping that don't have a clear path on the floor without a carpet. I of course changed the position of the mop. Moved to another area and it works fine with a clear path to most of the hardwood floors in my house but now I have to set it up to mop when I want and then sweep when I want unless I miss something I can't seem to get him to intelligently mop the hardwood areas and vacuum the carpet himself. I've had several robot vacuums and found that this one was spending way too much time getting stuck and repositioning itself. It doesn't move deftly and smoothly across carpets or stationary objects. In that regard, the 360 robot vacuum I've had was the best. For the price, this might be the best example of "set it and forget it".
