- Produces 'cleaner' AC power than the modified sine wave version for just a little more money. -The on/off switch is on the front, convenient function. Perfect inverter so far! I have both the standard and pure sine wave versions and have hardwired them to my truck for use when camping and road trips. I don't have an oscilloscope, so I hooked up a few devices, including one of my wife's hair straighteners, for the base load test. The modified Sinus version causes the hair straightener to make a soft "chirp" and it takes significantly longer to heat up than normal. The pure sine wave version heats up silently, just like you would if you were plugged into an outlet at home. Price if you are concerned about the quality of the AC produced this is a good deal. Also, the on/off switch is on the front so I can easily turn it off so I don't drain the truck's battery (I connected it to the primary battery circuit).
