We have several Ninja brand appliances, so we thought that these would live up to the reputation of the brand, and we were right. These could easily cost more and still be worth the money! The pots and pans themselves are cast aluminum with a stainless steel base to make perfect contact with induction-type stovetops, but can just as easily be used with standard gas or electric stoves. The walls of the pots and pans is thick, but because it's made of aluminum, it's not super-heavy. The handles are all cast stainless steel and very solid. These are not hollow handles! They are all solid and feel great in the hand! The non-stick finish feels rough to the touch, but when you cook on it, true to its description, nothing sticks to it! They say you can use metal utensils and not scratch it, but we haven't had them long enough to find out how true that is. What that said, I'm using metal utensils and I'll report back later. The lids are glass with the same cast stainless steel handles on them as the pots and pans themselves. These feel very solid and are easy to grip. This set has everything you need in a kitchen, and we really love this set. It not only looks great, but feels great to cook in!
