Running wheels have been a common sight in Europe for decades, but most people here have only really discovered them in the last few years. It's a much better way to learn than practicing wheels or pushing a child by hand. Let the child play on the balance bike and they will learn by themselves, sometimes in just a few days. I ordered this bike after looking at several that were significantly cheaper for a number of reasons. First, the design looked much better. This bike has a solid aluminum frame, while the cheapest bikes are made from multiple tubes bent and welded. Second, assembly is easy and requires no tools. Finally, it is easy to adjust, even without tools. The two year old this bike was intended for hasn't seen it yet (I'm writing this just after Thanksgiving) but I think he'll love it.
