Just received today and had to try it! That worked great for me. I sealed the homemade soap and was very pleased with how quick and easy it was to make. To get the best seal without a lot of plastic sticking together, you need to use caulk to cut as much plastic as possible around what you put in the bag so less plastic melts on it. Then take a hair dryer and point it directly at the bag until it shrinks. I will say that the plastic sealant seems cheap but for the small price I paid I will be careful not to handle it roughly and I don't think there will be a problem. I've read a few reviews saying it's crap and doesn't work right out of the box, but I'd like to point out that it comes with a big, light-colored piece of paper that says contact the supplier in case of any problems Get in touch and they will replace it for FREE. I am very happy with it and will use it for all kinds of homemade soaps, candles, lotions and other DIY things that I will make as gifts. It really makes your products look like what you bought in the store. One last note, be careful when using it for crafts with kids, the heating element is small but gets hot enough to cause severe burns. Also, you need to take out the batteries when not in use, there is no switch. Have fun sealing!
