I've worn glasses my whole life. In over 30 years I've still had to find a POSSIBLE way to properly clean my glasses without scratching them or leaving a greasy film on my face. Then, to make matters worse, about 20 years ago anti-reflective lenses were introduced in eyeglasses and as you know very well you couldn't BREATHE on those lenses without scratching them! Coatings have gotten SOMETHING better, but many of us learned years ago not to wipe lenses with a (extra dry) cloth, but simply rinse them with (mild) dish soap, water and a little rubbing with your fingers. be the best method. HOWEVER, until a few years ago, if for some reason you weren't stocking up on "old school" dishwashing detergents, "new and improved" grease removal formulas would chemically scratch/craze your coatings in seconds; as bad as running a dry cloth over the lens and creating tiny scratches. With all that being said, I went back to the old microfiber cloth and lens spray method (LensCrafters) and started scraping my lenses over the fog again. fogged up lenses (because the cleaner just smudges my facial oils and eye bugs). That was until I read about this product on one of the nanotechnology websites and, voila, I was blown away! This material combined with a good quality microfiber cloth will give you CRYSTAL CLEAR lenses without haze or scratches. The only caveat is that you should still rinse your lenses first to remove dirt. I actually spray this substance on my lenses first and then wash them off with water. Then I spray it again and wipe it off with a microfiber cloth.
