The M1 Macbook Air natively only supports one external display, but with this adapter I can use two (one connected to USB-C, one connected to this DisplayLink adapter ). The software works pretty well, monitors remember where they are etc. Aside from a simple one time software install, this thing is completely plug and play. Actually, I originally had an issue with the DisplayLink monitor not working. Refuse to wake up after falling asleep even after disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI and/or USB connections, but turns out I was using a bad HDMI cable. I tried another HDMI cable and it works great now.
