I had the exact same knife I bought 30 years ago and somehow it's gone. I've searched up and down for a replacement. I've tried a few others here at Revain and fashion knife shops and while they were "ok" they weren't as good as my prized 30 year old knife. Then I came across this knife. It looks just like my prized knife (same size and textured handle) at a reasonable price so I had to try it. And it didn't disappoint. It *IS* exactly the same as my 30-year MIA veteran and is now a work knife that I pull out of my kitchen knife wardrobe every day. This is the perfect size for my hand (women's glove size 8). It's light enough that it doesn't feel like a muscle strain when peeling 20 lb apples, but heavy enough to feel really snug in the palm of my hand (not flimsy like most "light" brand knives. I use this knife every Tag if I just need a kitchen knife for slicing, trimming or peeling (of course I prefer not to use a knife for slicing or chopping).
