Not only curved, but also.

Not sure, but not only is the blade curved the way it should be, it's also curved, not the way I remember it. I tried to bend it back into place but I wouldn't budge and as I added force I was too scared it would come loose from the handle. Luckily it wasn't that expensive and shipping was free. In terms of quality, it looks very durable.

Sharp little suction cups

My mum gave her some of these from her mum so when I found them here I had to buy them. I consider cooking my hobby and I am in the kitchen all the time. I have $200 Japanese knives but I love them for small jobs, they are SHARP and stay sharp. I have this, a paring knife, a tomato knife, and a straight pairing knife. Recommend every knife they sell. A kitchen must have such a sharp knife! Plus, they're made in the USA!

  • Holding my fists
Cons
  • Have been damaged

Great everyday paring and paring knife

This little knife is great for Finnish tasks like peeling boiled potatoes or cutting sprouts out of potatoes before cooking. Because the blade is short, you can easily maneuver the tip and use your thumb to control the action without gripping the blade itself. I have had a paring knife and a Rada utility knife for many years and they are very comfortable to use and easy to keep sharp. Of course, a bent knife causes its own problems, but I have good sharpening steels.

Pros
  • Durable workmanship
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

They call it "grandma's paring knife " and to me that's spot on!

I'm getting older and my hands are so tired from peeling apples this fall. I decided I was using a paring knife that was too big and decided to buy another. Wow, this knife works great for me. It is small, sharp, and has a slightly crescent-shaped blade. I don't know which of these qualities makes it right for me, but I like peeling apples for much longer. I suspect it's the crescent shape that makes peeling "ergonomically" easier. Anyway, I'm very, very happy with it.

Rada is Rada! - Paring Knife

This amazing knife first appeared in our house when we lived in Iowa. We bought it at an Amish store and it has become my wife's favorite. Ever since we moved back to California thirteen years ago, my wife has always been at the knife. A few months ago she noticed that it was no longer in the drawer. I may have used it to pick up some veggies and leave them outside somewhere (Oh no). This Christmas I was able to find this knife, the twin of the one we lost. It has brought me back into my wife's

A strange case of the saga of the missing Rada.

Grandma's Apple Knife has been a staple in my house/knife block for many years. This small, perfectly balanced knife has cut many apples, bananas, strawberries, pineapples and similar fruits in 10 years. I owned the first one. I originally received this knife around 2006. However, a bit of a tragedy/mystery happened this summer when one day my trusty, tried and true little paring knife went missing! I looked up and down. Unfortunately, there is no perfect little knife. My guess is based on a…

The best paring knife ever!

I had the exact same knife I bought 30 years ago and somehow it's gone. I've searched up and down for a replacement. I've tried a few others here at Revain and fashion knife shops and while they were "ok" they weren't as good as my prized 30 year old knife. Then I came across this knife. It looks just like my prized knife (same size and textured handle) at a reasonable price so I had to try it. And it didn't disappoint. It *IS* exactly the same as my 30-year MIA veteran and is now a work knife…

Excellent knife; Used almost daily for 3 years.

The blade holds up well and I find myself using this curved blade for many everyday purposes, forgetting a few more expensive straight knives in the block. Love the quality and price and I love that it's made in the USA. Please note that the aluminum handle, as stated in the description, needs to be hand washed and dried immediately. The blade is always clean and shiny, but the handle oxidizes and I wipe it down with a tissue from time to time. You can opt for a low-maintenance black handle…
