I have a huge deck in my backyard and I live in the Midwest so my deck can withstand the cold, monsoons and rain. This means my decking and wood steps MUST be checked for moisture to determine when they need to be replaced. This moisture meter is the answer. Its accuracy levels and readings are spot on. BUT it's not that easy to use. You really need to learn how to set it up for proper calibration. A long chart is included which is better to look at if you want the best readings.
