To be honest I wasn't impressed with this glue gun. I was looking for a replacement for my 15 year old model and while this model is technically more interesting I wasn't thrilled with the performance. First, while it uses narrow glue sticks, the glue gun itself is much longer than my other mini gun, and it comes with longer sticks than I'm used to seeing. Due to the length of the gun, you will need longer sticks to get from the chute to the trigger. The shorter ones I had at home worked fine, but I had to upload them more often. Although the gun itself is larger than I expected, the leash is a foot shorter. Not very good for my setup. The gun heats up about as fast as my old one (5 minutes). The on/off switch is a nice touch if you like to keep your glue gun plugged in all the time, but I don't, so I won't be using this feature very often. The glue itself didn't seem to get that hot. like my old pistol (which I don't know the specs of). However, it was hot enough to burn a finger on direct contact (although this is not uncommon). The glue comes out in a thinner stream than I expected which is good for delicate work. However, it also drips constantly. So pros and cons. I'm looking for the perfect replacement.
