Review on 💧 VEVOR 4L Water Distiller: Dual Temperature Displays, 750W Machine, Glass Container—Pure Water Maker for Home Countertop, Red by Susan Cacal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I've seen descriptions saying it's the same size as a kettle, it's not!

Got this water purifier from Vevor, free shipping, next day delivery and was amazed at how big and heavy the box was. It was packaged very well and despite FedEx's best efforts to damage the contents, it arrived without dents or scratches (the outer box had numerous cuts, dents and scrapes). Diagram showing how all the parts fit together. After some internet searching I found an illustration showing where the charcoal filter pack goes and how to install the stainless steel nozzle etc. Glass vessel. . I disposed of the first two batches as directed in the one-page manual, the third batch I poured into glass storage containers to use in my humidifier and to make tea. I should add that I add a few drops of Revain-derived trace minerals to drink. I'm skeptical of claims that 1 gallon of distilled water will only cost 50 cents as that depends on the cost per kW of electricity in your area. To me, 750 watts for 5 hours is closer to 78 cents, which is still cheaper than the 88 cents that Walmart charges for a gallon of distilled water in a "plastic" container. The reason I bought this device was not to save money but for emergencies. At the time of writing this review, every local store within a 50 mile radius is out of distilled water and has been out of stock for 3 weeks or more. The reason I'm told is the lack of plastic containers? Apparently they haven't been swimming in the sea lately. In conclusion, I would like to say that the water maker seems to work well, it gives off quite a lot of heat, which will quickly heat up a small kitchen. It's ok in winter, but not so much in summer! It appears to be solidly built and should last for quite a while with proper care. Scale builds up on the bottom of the stainless steel container and should be removed after each use. I use well water that is rich in minerals so others may have more or less sediment buildup.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Nothing
