The speaker is surprisingly good. I bought mb42-c to compare and you can definitely see the difference. I saw a new Amazon Black Friday promotion so I bought this speaker for $42. Don't be afraid to buy this brand. Serial Number: I heard about this brand from Gene DeLasalle on the budget Audioholics 5.1 system. It was originally intended for Dayton Audio but they sold out. Then I did some research and found that Micca and Dayton are very similar (if not the same) companies. He told me to wait for the black sale, which I did. I also bought mb42 tags for about $40 a pair. I'm very happy with my little 5.1 setup
