Not as good as BeatBo/BeatBelle

After introducing our little one to BeatBo and BeatBelle I thought Rockit would be a good addition to the team. The toy itself has a solid construction and resists tipping over quite well. There are several different switches and knobs to trigger different sounds, as well as a "Learn Levels" switch to add more advanced phrases. Rockit has a [permanently connected] companion, Glow, which adds some variety and pseudo-interaction as two characters. Unfortunately, Rokit's voice kills him for me. Rokit sounds like a bored eight-year-old who was forced to record his lines before his mother let him play with his friends. Compared to the excitement expressed by the voices for BeatBo and BeatBelle, Rockit just seems useless. If your child really likes talking/interactive toys then this can be a good addition if you can get one at a good price. However, I recommend BeatBo or BeatBelle (or BeatBowWow) as a better and more interesting alternative.
