About 10 years ago my dental hygienist gave me a stick and some of these tips to try and I've been using them every day (max 2 days) ever since. They work very, very well - and in fact the dentists I've been to since said they don't even know them - they prefer the old fashioned waxed floss which I've always HATED. You MUST use it properly - dip between your teeth and simply swish it up and down the gum ridges to dislodge dirt. DO NOT floss from side to side or you will develop receding gums which will cause even more problems. Highly recommended. When used correctly, you not only eliminate caries, but also gum caries and gingivitis.
