Review on Lift Supports, ECCPP Rear Liftgate Lift Support Struts Gas Shocks for Ford Escape (2001-2012) and Mercury Mariner (2005-2012) - Compatible with 4370 Strut Set of 2 by Devin Maselli

The pair I received may have been abnormal, but the lifting legs I received failed to compress. With all my weight (more than it should have been!), I wasn't able to compress these air jacks even a fraction of an inch. The overall length was too long due to the inability to compress the drivetrain so I couldn't install them on my 2003 Ford Escape. Even if I could install them, it would be too difficult to close the top gate. Disappointing given the success of other reviewers. It would be nice to list the force required to compress the lifting leg.
