Camera quality issues

REVISED UPDATE: We sent our cameras back to Bushnell but they couldn't reproduce the problem at their office and they didn't guarantee the cameras. We call the data loss the "Bushnell Lottery" and will switch camera brands when funding allows. I can't believe the Bushnell customer didn't fix this problem. Now I have 85 of these cameras for wildlife research. Last season, 45 of those 85 cameras repeatedly reset the date and time during their use, rendering the data unusable. All cameras where this error was reset again and again, so several photos from 01/01/17 at "midnight". This is a serious problem that Bushnell must solve quickly or he will lose the wildlife research community. The support team responded to the replacement of cameras covered under warranty. I'm currently testing Browning Dark Ops cameras on the recommendation of a former colleague. Response speed is good and there are fewer blank photo issues than previous models, but it still triggers easily in shade and sun. Bushnell must also fix the discrepancy between the detection pattern and the camera image. I have many blank photos of moose grazing in the camera's field of view, hanging on the edge of the detection circle but outside of the camera's field of view. OLD REVIEW: I bought 15 of these cameras for a research project. I am a wildlife biologist and have used Bushnell trophy cameras for research for many years. The previous model of the trophy camera worked well, this model has many problems. We had several cameras randomly reset the date and time while in the field, one camera stopped working after an hour and 4 of them did not take a picture after changing the battery in the field. Also, the user has no control over the video settings, which is ridiculous. 7 of the 12 cameras we set up in the forest had some sort of error. I will try to buy an earlier version of this camera from Revain until Bushnell figures out how to fix the kinks (again).
