    Eats batteries for optics

Excellent camera, good image quality. However, I only made it a few days with a set of 8 batteries! It seems that the camera will automatically go into "battery saver mode" if the voltage drops by a small amount, cutting a 15-second video down to just a few seconds. Every set of batteries I took out of the camera while zooming out the video was tested on multiple battery testers. All batteries were tested in the "Good" range. I tested "new" batteries and let them run until the video got…

This camera is junk. Don't buy any. .

This camera is old. Don't buy any. I have 8 Bushnell game cameras of all previous versions of this model in my backyard. I bought one of these cameras a week ago and couldn't get it to work properly. I sent the camera back and got a replacement camera from Amazon. Last night I set up the camera and this morning I checked the map. This camera did not record video. I have an earlier Bushnell camera pointing this way. I can see the lights came on and deer were in front of this camera but there is…

At first I was very happy with this camera.

Bought the camera in July and set it up to monitor night time activities on site. It worked great and I took a lot of animal photos and videos that surprised me. Then in October it stopped working. The camera took all the photos/videos (the LEDs on the front responded to movement), but it just stopped writing to the internal SD card. I checked the card and tried other cards, made sure the 'Write Permissions' tab was in the right position, it just didn't work. So on October 15th I sent it to…

    Camera quality issues

REVISED UPDATE: We sent our cameras back to Bushnell but they couldn't reproduce the problem at their office and they didn't guarantee the cameras. We call the data loss the "Bushnell Lottery" and will switch camera brands when funding allows. I can't believe the Bushnell customer didn't fix this problem. Now I have 85 of these cameras for wildlife research. Last season, 45 of those 85 cameras repeatedly reset the date and time during their use, rendering the data unusable. All cameras where…
