As someone who uses a head and beard trimmer every week, I was so excited to get a replacement shield. I took this replacement out of the box and put it on, but ended up in the most pain I've ever had cutting my hair. I've done this hundreds of times and have never heard the pinching, squeezing and horrible noises this product made on my clippers. I tried pulling it out and thought it would work by itself. It's not like this. I stopped after doing a significant portion of my head. I felt like my hair was falling off my head. What was worse, there were DEEP red sores in my head. Also answering questions about what happened to my head over the next few days was a lot of fun. I wanted to exchange it for another guard, thinking it might be a lemon, but it's non-refundable. I've been a Wahl loyalist for a long time but I'm so disappointed in the experience and how I got rid of this Guardian that I'll be ordering my new Oster clippers as soon as I'm done writing this review. That's saying a lot considering I've had my eye on a certain set of new Wahl clippers for months. Don't waste your time with this garbage company.
