Review on BOSTITCH MFN 201 Manual Flooring Nailer: Exquisite, High-Quality Flooring Nail Gun by Jason Lockwood

Revainrating 5 out of 5

right tool for small job

I just installed 200 square feet of 3/4" core pine in my house with this using 2" boards. I didn't find it particularly physically demanding as I spent a lot of time cutting the boards and thinking about how to adjust the grain of the boards; As a result, a few quiet days passed. The simplicity and speed of a pneumatic tool would be too expensive. There is a ratchet mode that allows you to control the spikes with a few short taps. It took me a while to practice before I got the point, but after that almost every spike was handled perfectly. The two hex keys that came with the kit didn't fit, but I didn't have to use them.

Pros
  • nailer
Cons
  • non automatic
