Review on πŸš— Optimized Mityvac MV4560 Pressure Test Kit for Radiator/Cooling Systems: Includes Adapters for Testing Majority of U.S., Asian, European Cars, and Light Trucks by Jessie Drury

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good kit, the fitter tore off the thread for the pressure gauge.

I like this set. Bought to replace a regular cooling system tester. I had an issue where the pressure was building up for a very long time and the pressure kept releasing. The maximum pressure I got was 10psi. I saw the gap between the plastic parts and sealed it with "Great Stuff", engine sealant. Still the same problem. I decided to remove the sensor to see how well it sealed. I saw that they used liquid teflon tape on the threads as I started to take it off. After the sensor was routed, I checked the port it was screwed into, there were drops of sealant in there. I cleaned it and to my dismay there are no strings at all. Completely tidy. I did everything I could to clean the connector and threads on the sensor. As I screwed the gauge in, I could feel where the threads were and found the gauge at the bottom, away from the handle. I believe the assembler made an extra half turn instead of removing the jig, resealing and reassembling with the jig. facing the handle. Again I'm using a great material for the threads and just hoping it seals the sensor and holds it in place. If not I will use JB Quickweld. As of today I can't return it as it's expired so I'm doing what I can. I made an air adapter with a pressure regulator so I can use the adapters that come with storage air. Hand pump for emergencies on the go.
