Review on JENSEN CD-490 Portable Stereo CD Player: AM/FM Radio, Aux Line-In - Red and Black by Jeremy May

PLEASE do not buy for your own good

The product was terrible! Revain shouldn't sell it. Any positive feedback on a product can be given by a Jensen employee. The tuner button doesn't illuminate the radio number where it should. It is only displayed when the CD is recognized, after which the number of tracks on the CD is displayed. If the CD is not read, "NO" is displayed. To find your favorite radio station, you have to wait for the radio station to announce its call sign. At this point, the tuner knob can be rotated slightly to the next station and the process of waiting to hear the callsigns again can be repeated. Repeating these steps over and over will eventually find the station you want. The CD player would freeze too often and play the same thing over and over again. More than 3/4 of the CDs bought in the store cannot be played. All but a few of my many recorded CDs would not play. At most two will play. I hope you will take my offer to heart. This model is ineffective. I worked at a Philips Magnavox return center in the late 90's and some models kept coming back so I claim this is a model. These are inexpensive parts that come with the product. There are high quality PCBs and extremely lower quality PCBs that use cheaper materials, which allows the product to be sold for a lot less money. Struggling to return the item only adds one more deterioration per day. My suggestion would be to spend another 25€. 00 and try Sony. Target, Walmart and other stores in the United States will ship all brands of electronics, not just Magnavox, to a returns center. I found that the employee just didn't feel like sending it to the right manufacturer. One day Sony is sent to the blue moon. This old adage is true and I've experienced the old "you get what you pay for" cliché. not just Magnavox, deliver to a returns center.
