I'm completely blind. Got this sensor. To me that is the same as the outside temperature/humidity sensor. Fastening cord and box are the same. It's also not easy to get to the batteries to check/replace them. The sensor box has a square shape, from the top of which extends a rope with a plastic ring. The sensor cable comes out of the bottom of the box. There is a button on the back of the box, as well as a QR code that you can use to scan for the YoLink app to allow it on the system. What I like about this sensor is that the temperature sensor is on the wire. This will work fine for me as I can poke a small hole in my air conditioner/heater ducts to then dangle the probe in the cold air return and the second for the air conditioner/heat duct leading into the house. . This allows me to determine the temperature at which the air enters the system and at which it exits. In testing, the sensor was about 1 foot from my weather station when I placed the sensor next to it. It will work for what I want to use in terms of temperature. Also plan to use one in the attic. Place the crate in the house and make a small hole in the corner to launch the probe. There is no holder for the probe. So I need to figure out how to attach the 2x4 sensor to the back of the skylight. I don't care that I have to hang the sensor on a rope! (YES, REALLY)! The next question is what do I have to do to get the batteries? I need to remove the entire sensor, pull the probe out of the air ducts and do something to get at the batteries! Now that's a pain and not user friendly. If you use this inside! This sensor will probably be fine. However, I would not use this sensor outside the home as it only has a rope for hanging. They should have a much better mounting system than a typical room temperature/humidity sensor. They also need to find a better way for a human to easily access and replace the batteries than the ones currently in use. Before I use these sensors! You need to get to the batteries so you need to pull out the stuff covering the screws and omit that xxxx. If I have to change the batteries in this case it's a lot easier and I may not have to pull out the sensors and all. Protective faithful to the one I intend to use for the attic.
